Summer Wedding at The Essex Country Club

bridal bouquet, white peony, yellow rose, garden style

I am such a sucker for the color yellow, it's sort of a secret actually. This past year my amazing clients really let me explore my love of yellow for their wedding days. It's safe to a say at least 1 client in each of the four seasons said, "sure kerianne, let's add some yellow".  Let me tell you my florist heart nearly exploded each time! The color yellow in the spring is soft and pale to me, come summer it's sunny and vibrant. During the autumn months it's golden and dewy and the crisp winter months bring a citrus-y lemon yellow. One of my favorite things about working with flowers in their season is the way each color takes on the time of the year. May it be the bittersweet berry that's all golden in October or ninebark foliage that is so bright you can feel the warmth of June... the color just presents itself to us.

Early this June for Lucy and Peter at the Essex Country Club, yellow was on full display. The bright centers of peonies, garden roses and lisianthus paired with golden ninebark - tres magnific!

lucy and peter were married at a beautiful church in manchester-by-the-sea, followed by dinner and dancing at the essex country club under a tent on the green.  guests sat at round tables with arrangements in glass footed compotes, treated to a touch of blush pink in the arrangements.  while the bridal party enjoyed the evening together down long farm tables.  the tent was magical and a perfect pairing of the summer yellow and all the lush greenery the season offers!

cheers to forever l+p!  thank you for asking us to be a small part of the day!
