A Special Bride

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Inspiration

Les Fleurs began with a vision I shared with my mom:  to hold each bride in our hearts while helping them create their dream wedding with beautiful florals. Since the day my mother lost her battle with breast cancer, one month before we were due to open the store, I have stayed true to our vision with every Les Fleurs bride.

This past August, I had the honor of designing flowers for a very special bride whose story is most relevant this October. While most brides are busy planning flower consultations and dress fittings, Kasha did so between tackling chemo treatments. She planned her whole wedding while battling breast cancer.

Each time we met, I witnessed an inner strength and couldn’t help but be in awe of Kasha.  Her positive outlook reminded me of my mother’s resilience throughout her own battle. While discussing hand-tied bouquets and table centerpieces, I often held back tears as it touched me deeply to see another woman display such courage through adversity.

While these photos depict Kasha’s beautiful wedding, I hope the words portray the beautiful bride I came to know and admire. Thank you, Kasha, for allowing us to share your inspiring story.

Weddings by Les Fleurs are a hallmark of the store and continue to be a tribute to my late mother.

xoxo,

Sandra
