Press Reset for the New Year

Now that the holidays have passed and we’ve gotten back to our everyday norm, I’m ready to press the reset button. As someone who loves having a lot on her plate, the act of doing too much could easily keep me on that endless treadmill. So, as I start this new decade and reflect back on last year, I hope to give myself permission to slow down, cherish the memories that were made in 2019 and start planning for another memorable year ahead.

Here are a few highlights of what is to come in 2020

Upon reopening in January, we took down our holiday decor and are redesigning the shop with new inventory including found objects just in from France. I’m excited to start planning our year filled with floral workshops, upcoming weddings and trips to France!

Workshops

In 2019, we had so many fun floral workshops that inspired us to continue to teach those willing to learn floral design. Some highlights of our group workshops were the garden lecture with master gardener Peter Coppola and the dahlia workshop in the glass greenhouse at the Stevens Coolidge Estate. Other workshops featured French tureens, calligraphy, terrariums and holiday tables & wreaths.

We also hosted several private workshops! If you are interested in setting up a custom workshop with 8-12 participants, please contact us and we would be happy to work with you to plan an afternoon or evening workshop for your group.

We’ve got few new ideas brewing for workshops in 2020 including a Tulip Workshop and a new twist on our Wreath Workshops. Stay tuned through our email announcements for upcoming workshops.

Weddings

Last year we had a record number of beautiful weddings in new oceanfront destinations and some in a few of our familiar venues. Each wedding is so special to us and we cherish the relationships that blossomed and new friends we made along the way. Thank you to all of our 2019 brides & grooms for your trust in us and for giving us an opportunity to create beautiful flowers for your big day.

Next year we have another exciting year planned with our 2020 wedding couples. Stay tuned for updates on our wedding gallery inspiration page with spectacular photos of our most recent weddings.

France

Last year we had another sold-out trip to France in April. For 2020, we have 2 new French trips planned. In April, we are returning to Provence for a retreat at the Chateau Moissac. The fall trip to Paris and Normandy includes a culinary class and shopping at hidden brocantes.

Connections

More importantly, as I sit here (with tea in hand) and reflect back on the last 12 months, I feel grateful for all the new connections I have made with so many people. I love hearing the stories about how our little French flower shop has inspired you and I hope you will continue to share them by commenting on our blog or when visiting our shop. It’s what makes our job worthwhile and joyful.

As I press reset, I am excited for the big, beautiful things coming in the year ahead, in our lives and in yours; I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. As always, we are so very thankful for your support in 2019 and wish that your 2020 will be filled with love and joy.

Bonne Année - Happy New Year.

XOXO,
Sandra
