A very special antique French terre de fer faïence* opaque porcelain saucière (sauce boat / gravy boat) with attached underplate saucer from Gien France. Off-white ironstone with a green laurel leaf transfer motif border. Additional items shown are sold separately.

Terre de fer, also known as French ironstone, is a type of faïence, frequently decorated with transferware designs of flowers, butterflies, or birds.
Faïence is a fine earthenware covered in a white enamel using a tin glaze method, produced in France since the late 16th century.
