Reflecting on 2024

Can you believe it’s already the beginning of a new year? Life always feels so full this time of year, with family gatherings, holiday preparations, and dreaming up all the things to accomplish in the months ahead.

Before jumping headfirst into 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything that made 2024 so special.

A New Mural in the Shop

This past year was nothing short of magical. One of the highlights at the shop was unveiling a stunning new mural – a heartfelt tribute to nature and the essence of what we do – beautifully painted by our own talented florist and artist, Noelle. The backdrop brings the feel of a chateau fresco to the shop, which always makes me smile.

Our First Masterclass

Throughout the year, we shared our love for flowers in so many ways, from inspiring presentations and workshops to hosting our first-ever masterclass at the Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens with my dear friend Lucy Hunter. Bringing people together to create beauty is always a joy, and these gatherings truly filled my heart.

The Newport Flower Show

Presenting at the Newport Flower Show was another unforgettable milestone, this time collaborating with Lucy Hunter. It was such a privilege to connect with so many of you there.

And then there were the treasures… This year, we unveiled a container packed with exquisite French antiques, a labor of love that brought a little slice of Paris to the shop. We were thrilled to have many of you also make the trip to our shop, in search of more special pieces from France.

A New French Tour

Speaking of Paris, it was an absolute dream to host two Antique Buying Tours in the City of Light. These tours are about so much more than antiques; they’re about discovering stories, celebrating craftsmanship, and meeting like-minded adventurers who share a passion for beauty and history. We’re excited for our tours in 2025, including a brand-new Parisian Experience Tour in April!

In the Media

This year also brought exciting media moments: from being invited for two segments on The Morning Mix on WBZ-TV, to the honor of seeing my book French Blooms named a Better Homes & Gardens top coffee-table pick! It’s been incredible to share the artistry of flowers with so many.

Looking back, 2024 was filled with growth, creativity, and connection. Now, as we step into the new year, we’re looking forward to all we have coming in 2025: We’re planning more workshops, inspiring events, and unforgettable tours – including a new Parisian Experience Tour. Of course, there will be more treasures, more flowers, and more ways to bring beauty into the everyday.

Wishing you a Bonne Année! Here's to a beautiful 2025.

With love,
Sandra
